Hey, congrats on kicking off a blog and welcome to the blogosphere: nice start, especially the detail on the food…makes me miss my carnivorous days, almost 😉
I came across this recently: http://www.himalmag.com/read.php?id=4501
You being a super-famous children’s author-celebrity etc, I was curious about your thoughts about considering “non-normative childhoods” (whew!)… did you and your artist/illustrator have this perspective also in mind when you guys worked on the book?
Just noticed the “:))) we DON’T do only tv” comment. I am switching on the ‘severely impressed’ expression generator immediately. Sadly, havent seen The Sea Inside… a pity, actually wrote a blog-post about euthanasia sometime back. read about a similar theme in The Butterfly & The Diving Bell-found on a Triplicane platform a long time before it was made into the movie… was neat. How did you like London? I recall me +KK catching a football match & him telling me that Alaphia and a friend were on a French farm or something… that was you, I guess? I read F.Forsyth, J.Archer and S.Sheldon…oh and Danielle Steele too. Saw that you read Ishiguro, had a ticket for a live event with him at the Hay festival last month and missed it by a couple of hours… was held back by photogenic Welsh sheep who responded to Tamil+Mallu+Hindi entreaties to come closer and closer.
Hey Sis,
Congratulations on starting a new blog. The toughest thing about blogging is keeping the enthusiasm up and writing new ones often enough. Good luck, and I promise to read it every time there is a new entry 🙂
